Swan song (a swan singing the first three minutes of L’homme Atlantique by Marguerite Duras)

The work is based on one of my earlier films, Swan song, which deals with grief, and Duras’ film L’Homme Atlantique, with the same theme. It is an exploration of meaning and changes of perspective. In the installation you hear a swan sing Duras’ words. The text projected finds itself in a gap, between image and text. As a viewer you are very close to the wall, which is an attempt to embody the text and the swan’s voice in every person who sees the work.
